Fund raising
Events and activities are an important part of our fundraising strategy. Not only do they help with publicity, but any amount of money raised will help towards supplying the affordable accommodation the town of Wells so desperately needs.
- Events – by organising an event and donating a percentage of the profits to HfW
- Sponsorship – by taking part in an activity (walking/running/sky diving/or just sitting in a bath of baked beans) you can encourage others to help by sponsoring you and then donating the proceeds to HfW
- Celebrations – many people organise events to celebrate milestone anniversaries or birthdays and invite their friends and family to join in the festivities. If the only present you would like is your guests, then add a note to the end of the invite saying – No gifts please but donations may be sent to Homes for Wells.
- Businesses – can assist our charity by corporate sponsorship or arranging fundraising activities that staff can join in with.
From Abseiling, Art Exhibitions and Auctions to Wellie Throwing, Wheelbarrow Races and Wine Tasting – if you have an idea for an activity, are taking part in a sponsored event or would like to organise a fundraising event of your own, then we would love to hear from you. Contact us
If you are not keen on being a committee member but could spare a couple of hours, every now and then, to help with fundraising, please contact us, we would be grateful for any assistance.
