ADVERTISING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Adverts are accepted, free of charge, subject to the following terms and conditions, and on the understanding that all items offered are Free of Charge (no cash/cheque payment to be made in exchange).  However customers may wish to make a donation to Homes for Wells.  If a UK tax payer please complete a Gift Aid form to enable HfW to reclaim tax relief on the donation.

HfW cannot vouch for any of the goods here and will not enter into any form of agreement or assist in any discussion about these items. You agree that HfW shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage of any sort incurred as the result of any dealings through this website. If there is a dispute between participants or between users and any third party, you understand and agree that HfW is under no obligation to become involved.

Definitions of Private Adverts

Private Ads Offered:

Any item(s) that was(were) solely for a persons own personal use and not in connection with any business.

Private Ads Wanted:

Any item(s) wanted for a person's own private use and not in connection with any business.

SAFETY.

Be aware! It is up to each individual when arranging for pickup of the item being given away to be appropriately aware of the potential risk of having "a stranger" come to your home to pick something up. HfW assumes no responsibility for this risk. You may want to arrange to meet in a public place or leave the item on the front porch without mentioning whether or not you will be home at the time of pickup.
HfW gives no warranties, conditions, guarantees or representations, express or implied, as to the following:
The completeness or accuracy of the advice and information contained on this website or any website to which it is linked;
The content of the advertisements for items included on the HfW website, including but not limited to the ownership, quality, compliance with description or fitness for purpose of any such items.
Please take reasonable measures to protect your safety and privacy. By communicating with an advertiser, you agree to not hold anyone affiliated with HfW responsible or liable for any circumstance resulting from a HfW-related gifting or communication.

HfW advise that all electrical items are checked by a suitable qualified person before use.

Your Advert

Adverts can be for items wanted or items offered.  They will be advertised on the HfW website for 1 month after which time they will be removed from the site. Adverts will be added to the site as soon as possible (normally within 24 hours). 
Your advert copy (including text and photographs) must be legal, decent, honest and truthful and comply with the British Code of Advertising Standards Authority. We may amend the advert to ensure compliance with such requirements.
We are not able to verify the truthfulness of any statements made by you in your advert copy. Accordingly, you shall be responsible for any losses, expenses or other costs incurred by us which are caused by an untrue statement made or provided by you.

Your Personal Data

By submitting your advert, you are requesting that your advert appears on our Website.  This means that the advert, including your contact details ie: your email address can potentially be viewed by all persons with Internet access throughout the world. You consent to the publication of your data in this way.

Changes, Cancellations and Interruptions

Amendments, alterations etc to the advert should be emailed to HfW and will be amended as soon as possible. HfW will endeavour to amend adverts within 24 hours but cannot guarantee this will be possible in all cases.
It is technically impossible to provide a Website free from interruptions and we do not guarantee that your advert will be provided continuously or free of faults. In addition, we will need to carry out maintenance of the Website from time to time and in doing so we shall attempt to keep the disruption to your advert to a minimum.
HfW does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage caused by an error, inaccuracy or omission in the printing of the advertisement; for any failure to publish an advertisement on the date or dates specified.

Replying to Adverts

When replying to an advert offering items please include a contact telephone number and the reason why you would like the item.  The owner will then make contact with you direct.  If the owner receives several emails relating to a particular item it will be the owners’ decision as to which application has been successful.

Unacceptable Adverts

English Law

These terms and conditions and the contract of which they form a part shall be governed by English law.
HfW reserve the right to refuse to publish any advertisement without ascertaining any reason, and to classify, edit and delete at its sole discretion. The placing of any advert is an acceptance of these conditions.
